Arbor Day 2018

8th June

Every Arbor Day children from East Hamersley Primary School visit the Hamersley Habitat Community Garden and this year had a ball planting native ground covers, plants for a sensory wall and vegetable seedlings.

There was also a newspaper article in the Stirling Times, written about the event with some great photos of children from our school.

Focus Week 2017

Tuesday 6 June

Students learned about the Aboriginal culture, their connection to the land and stories from the Dreamtime. Nyungar elder Betty Garlett performed a welcome to country and a smoking ceremony to mark the creation of our nature play area. Derek Nannup engaged students with his performance on the didgeridoo, storytelling, singing and dancing.
