The Public School Review is an accountability measure employed by the Department of Education to ensure schools are providing the best possible education for all students in Western Australia.
The process involves two stages:
Stage 1
The school completes a self-assessment against six domains. These are:
- Relationships and partnerships
- Learning environment
- Leadership
- Use of resources
- Teaching quality
- Student achievement and progress
Stage 2
The school then hosts a Director and a Peer Principal reviewer at school to validate the self-assessment.
Most often, a Public School Review takes place every three years.
