School Board Nominees

Paul Iswariah

Hi, I would like to nominate myself to fill a parent vacancy on the school board for the following reasons.

  • We are committed to the school community and want to see this school flourish as we think the school plays a significant part of the community here in East Hamersley where we live.
  •  My wife and I would love to support the principal, teachers and the administration team in the amazing role they play in making our school a safe and caring place where our kids not only gain knowledge but grow up to be wise, caring and responsible human beings.
  • My background working for the City of Stirling as the head of the project management office and business solutions (2014-2020) combined with my current experience working for a not for profit organization,  I hope enables me to be suitable to serve on the school board and contribute to the great work that is already being carried out.

I am a parent of a Kindy and Year 1 child so I am going to be at the school for a number of years to come. I work as an academic at a WA university and in this role am a member of a number of university based committees. I also chair an advisory group at the Australasian College of Paramedics and through these roles have experience in strategic planning, policy, governance.

I am an open collaborative member of these groups and the paramedic profession who is enthusiastic and motivated.

I hope to bring some fresh perspective and input into East Hamersley Primary School if selected as the parent board member.

Nikki Kozulin

I have worked in child protection policy for most of my career, and have a keen interest in the safety and wellbeing of children. I have a vast network of strategic relationships across government, industry and the community services sector that I think would be an asset to East Hamersley PS.

I am currently the Manager of the Office for Women within the Department of Communities and am an advocate for diversity and inclusion in all areas of our community.

I have a strong background in governance, with many years experience in the establishment and support of various boards and committees. While I do not have any    board experience, I am really keen to develop the skills necessary to be a productive board member at EHPS.

My son Boris is in Pre-Primary and so far we have been really impressed by the community of EHPS and believe that parents have an important role in supporting students to achieve their best.
